Simply put, I love statistics. I delight in the ways math turns to beauty. I am excited when stats answer questions. Even more than that, I love seeing someone else discover this beauty. Or, discover that this monster they have dreaded and feared can actually be quite useful. And maybe even a little fun.
I have walked a glorious path between psychology and statistics, doing master's degrees in each, before completing my doctorate in psychology. This places me perfectly to not just do math, but explain it in an understandable, intelligible way. I have worked on projects from cardiology to colon cancer, PTSD to HIV, treatment outcomes to basic research. My expertise is particularly developed in structural equation modeling (EFA, CFA, path analysis, multi-group analysis), but also includes item response theory and multi-level modeling, as well as regression, ANOVA, and other staples.
Consultations can include data analyses (proficient in SPSS, R, and Mplus, experience with SAS and HLM), interpretation, results write-up, or simply statistics therapy. I regularly meet in person, by skype, or by phone.
